Champion Personnel is hiring for an experienced Mechanic/Electrician:
Summary: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions and Duties
Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, to diagnose malfunction.
Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
Push buttons/keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller/ program and operate automated machinery/test for malfunctions, and verify repairs.
Plans layout and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Assist in all equipment installations & major modifications.
Comply with all safe work procedures including Lock Out / Tag Out
Able to work 12-hour shifts, on day or night shift and work mandatory overtime.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Trained in confined space and Hazwoper.
Forklift certification/license
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to deal with problems involving few variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent from college or technical school or 6+ years related electrical and mechanical experience. Maintenance Mechanic II plus ability to troubleshoot & repair major mechanical and electrical breakdowns on all equipment.
