We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, altering, mending, and customizing garments according to customer measurements and specific order requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform standard alterations (hemming, tapering, waist adjustments, sleeve shortening) and general repairs (zipper replacement, patching, replacing hardware).
Apply patches, trims, badges, and custom embellishments following precise guidelines and placement instructions.
Measure items accurately and determine necessary adjustments for a proper, comfortable fit.
Safely operate and maintain industrial sewing equipment (single/double needle, blind stitch, overlock, etc.).
Inspect completed garments to ensure high craftsmanship, correct measurements, and clean finishes before final delivery.
Keep the sewing area organized and perform basic routine maintenance on machinery.

Requirements:
2+ years of professional sewing, tailoring, or seamstress experience.
Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, garment construction, and accurate measuring.
Ability to carefully follow written work orders and specification sheets.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, good manual dexterity, and capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
